This enormous pancake is baked in the oven on a baking sheet and is filled with the savory flavor of apple pie, but it's much easier to make than a pie and is incredibly tender. To make the pancake even more beautiful, slice the apples into neat rounds, toss them with spices, arrange them on the baking sheet, and pour the pancake batter over them. After baking, serve the pancake upside down to reveal the pattern of the apple rounds. A must-have is the spiced sugar glaze. Drizzle it over the pancake before serving and enjoy the warm flavors of this dessert.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
Bake the pancake:
Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and pie spices in a large bowl. Grease a rimmed baking sheet with 2 tablespoons butter and arrange the apple slices in a single layer; sprinkle with 1/3 cup of the sugar mixture. Bake until the apples are soft and the baking sheet is mostly dry, 25 to 30 minutes.- Meanwhile, stir both flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into the remaining sugar mixture. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, yogurt, eggs, and vanilla. Fold the milk mixture into the flour mixture.
- Pour the batter over the apples and gently spread to cover the fruit. Bake until the top is dry and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 12-15 minutes. Brush with the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Let cool for 15 minutes.
Prepare the glaze:
In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, cider, and apple pie spice. Drizzle the glaze over the pancakes. Cut into square slices, arrange apple-side up on plates, and serve with maple syrup and/or whipped cream.
