Ingredients:


For the cocktail:
  • 15 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 60 ml rye whiskey, preferably Rittenhouse
  • Dried apple slice, for garnish

For apple jam and syrup:
  • 2 red apples, peeled and cored, diced
  • 2 tubes cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons of sugar
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Prepare apple jam: Combine apples, cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons sugar in a saucepan. Place on the stove and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 20 minutes. Cool.
  • Step 2
  • Meanwhile, prepare the syrup: Combine 1/2 cup each of sugar and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil over medium heat, and cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool.
  • Step 3
  • Prepare a cocktail: Fill a shaker halfway with ice, add 1 teaspoon of apple jam, 15 grams of syrup, lime juice, and whiskey. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with dried apple.
