The main ingredients of this cocktail are vodka and apple juice. But if you prepare it at a home party, you'll captivate your guests with its original presentation and the complex bouquet of flavors and aromas that come from the combination of apple and thyme. Make a simple syrup with this fragrant herb and add it to every apple martini. And apple balls and a sprig of thyme floating in the glass make a fresh and interesting way to serve the cocktail.


Ingredients:


Cocktail
  • Ice
  • 30 ml of vodka
  • 180 ml apple juice
  • 1/4 cup thyme syrup, recipe below
  • 1 large apple, peeled
  • 4 sprigs of fresh thyme

Sugar syrup with thyme
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 0.5 cups of water
  • 5 large sprigs of fresh thyme
  • Special equipment: watermelon spoon
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Chill martini glasses.
  • Step 2
  • Fill a shaker with ice. Combine vodka, apple juice, and thyme syrup. Shake for 10 seconds. Pour the cocktail into 4 martini glasses.
  • Step 3
  • Using a watermelon scoop, scoop out small apple balls. Place 3 apple balls and 1 sprig of thyme in each glass. Serve immediately.

  • Thyme Simple Syrup:


    Combine the sugar, water, and thyme in a saucepan and place over medium heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool. Any leftover cooled syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
