If you want the sweet potatoes to cook faster, simply chop them into smaller pieces. Rachel also adds her secret ingredient to the puree: sliced bananas fried in oil.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1.35 kg sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 60 g butter
- 1 sliced banana
- Juice of one peeled and squeezed orange (keep the zest)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 0.5 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp. grated nutmeg
- Salt, pepper

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- First, fill a pot with water and place the potatoes on the stove. Cook until they are tender. Remove from the stove, drain the water, and set the potatoes aside.
- Place the oil in a separate frying pan, add the banana and heat for about 5 minutes. Pour in the orange juice, add the zest and heat for another minute.
- Then add the potatoes, chicken broth, and brown sugar. Mash the mixture until smooth. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and orange zest to taste.
- The resulting mass should be kneaded again and served.
