This one is delicious Greek Pita sandwich filled with chicken, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 thinly sliced ​​skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 4 pitas are hollow inside
  • Lime or lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 2 peeled cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mint or cilantro leaves for marinade
  • 1 cup natural yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 2 tablespoons chopped mint for dressing
  • Mixed salad leaves

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a blender, combine lemon juice, a tablespoon of olive oil, garlic, coriander, cumin, salt, pepper, and mint or cilantro leaves.

    Blend until smooth and pour over the chicken as a marinade. Refrigerate the chicken and let it marinate for 30 minutes. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, cucumber, and chopped mint.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Heat the pitas under a broiler or grill. Open the pitas, fill them with chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, and drizzle with the yogurt dressing. Serve immediately.
