Time: 40 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 50 cookies

Elvis was known for his love of peanut butter and bananas, but we've added a few more interesting ingredients that we think he would have approved of, too.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 220 g softened butter
  • 1 tbsp. peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • A large pinch of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • 2.5 cups premium flour
  • 1 and 1/4 cups chocolate chips or finely chopped chocolate
  • 150g ground pretzels (about 3/4 cup crumbs), such as mini pretzels
  • 10 cooked, crispy, and finely chopped strips of bacon

We recommend

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a baking tray or trays with oil.

In a large bowl, combine sugar, butter, peanut butter, molasses, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt until smooth. Add the bananas and mash thoroughly.

Add the flour and mix gently until smooth and lump-free. Fold in the chocolate chips, pretzel crumbs, and bacon.
  2. Using two spoons, form walnut-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet or several prepared baking sheets, spacing them at least 5 cm apart. Refrigerate the baking sheet(s) for 10 minutes.

Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool. liver on the grill.
