Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat enough oil to cover the potato slices to frying temperature (160-180°C) and add the potatoes to the skillet. Turn the wedges over when they begin to stick to the pan and fry until the potatoes are browned and crispy on the outside.Potatoes can also be cooked in a deep fryer. (3-5 minutes) Set the potatoes aside and reduce the heat to medium.
- Add the sausages, onions, and peppers to the remaining oil in the pan. Cook until the sausages are cooked through and the onions and peppers begin to brown, allowing the flavors to infuse.
- To prepare one servingCut the bread into quarters. Cut through the soft center of the slice without cutting through the crust, keeping the two halves connected. You should have a hole big enough to fit a hot dog. You can add mustard inside. Place one hot dog on the bottom, top with onions, peppers, and slices from about half a potato. If the filling spills out of the bun, you've done it right. Top with ketchup and paprika flakes. Have a fork handy!
For a double servingCut the bread in half. Cut a pocket in the middle of the bun. Place two sausages inside and double the filling, especially the potato slices—lay about one potato slice on top.
