Miami-style hot dog - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 8 beef hot dog sausages
  • 8 pieces smoked bacon
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 1 diced tomato
  • 0.5 cup chopped mango
  • 4 chopped onions
  • 1 bunch chopped cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • Hot mustard for serving
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped seeded jalapeño pepper
  • Crushed potato chips for garnish

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat the grill to medium. Combine the tomato, mango, leek, cilantro (reserving a few tablespoons), jalapeño, vinegar, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper and toss. Refrigerate until serving.
  2. Wrap each sausage with a piece of bacon. Grill, turning, until the bacon is crispy, about 5 minutes. Spread mustard on the buns and place the sausages inside. Garnish with mango salsa, chips, and the remaining cilantro.
