Kentucky Style BBQ Sauce - A Step-by-Step Recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Pour 4 cups of water into a saucepan. Add Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, lemon juice, allspice, garlic and onion powder, 1.5 teaspoons salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
