Chicken barbecue - detailed cooking recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Chicken

  • 4 chicken breasts with skin and bones

Sauce

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons black molasses or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup of water
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. For barbecue sauce:
    Combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, molasses or brown sugar, mustard powder, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, water, salt, and pepper in a small saucepan and simmer until thickened, about 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill to high. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and toss with 1 cup of barbecue sauce.

  3. Turn the grill to medium heat and add the chicken breasts, cover with a lid and cook until done, brushing with sauce, about 25 to 30 minutes.
