Prepare onion rings the way they're made in the best steakhouses and meat restaurants. The onions are sliced ​​into wide rings, breaded, and deep-fried. These crispy rings make a delicious side dish for meat dishes and a great beer snack.


Ingredients:

  • 2 large red onions, sliced ​​into 2.5cm wide rings.
  • 2 cups milk and 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 cup flour, 1 cup cornstarch and 1 teaspoon salt (mix)
  • Special equipment: a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed saucepan filled with 10 cm of vegetable oil heated to 185° C

  • Soak the onion rings in the milk and egg mixture for 30 seconds. Then roll each ring in the flour mixture. Dip the rings in milk again, then in flour.
