The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Plum filling

  • 1.3 kg plums, cut into quarters
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • A pinch of fine salt

Shortcrust pastry

  • 1 and 1/4 cups premium flour
  • 3 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of fine salt
  • 4 tbsp (60 g) butter, cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup drinking cream with 10% fat content
  • Powdered sugar and vanilla ice cream for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. For the fillingCombine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water in a slow cooker. Add plums, sugar, and salt and stir until smooth.
  2. For the testWhisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add the butter and mix with your hands until the mixture forms pea-sized pieces of flour. Add the milk and cream mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until a moist dough forms.

  3. Spread the batter over the plums. Close the slow cooker and cook on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the cobbler is bubbling and the cookies are set.
  4. Let the cobbler cool for 20 minutes. Divide the cobbler among servings, then dust with powdered sugar and garnish with vanilla ice cream.
