Pear Cobbler with Cranberry Streusel - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Filling

  • 4 pears
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Streusel

  • 2 cups cranberries
  • 100 g of butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup premium flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream, whipped to soft peaks
  • Butter at room temperature for greasing the pan
  • Sugar for sprinkling

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 190°C.

    Peel the pears and cut them in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to remove the core. Place the pear halves in a large bowl. Sprinkle with vanilla and stir. Then sprinkle with brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg and mix thoroughly.

    Place the pears in a round baking dish that has been greased and sprinkled with sugar.
  2. In the same bowl, mix the butter, brown sugar, flour, and salt together with your hands. Stir in the cranberries. Spoon the mixture over the pears and bake until the pastry is crisp and the pears are very tender, 35 to 40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
