1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh basil, plus more for garnish
  • 4 plums, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. gin
  • 3 cups sparkling water, chilled

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Make basil syrupCombine sugar and 1/3 cup water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat and let cool completely, about 1 hour, then strain.
