Iced tea with blueberries and basil

How to Make Blueberry Basil Iced Tea
Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Complexity: easily
Servings: 6-8

One of the benefits of summer iced teas is that, unlike other soft drinks, they also have a stimulating effect, especially if they're natural and homemade. For a large gathering, prepare a pitcher of iced tea with the unusual and vibrant flavor combination of blueberry and basil. Steep these ingredients in equal parts in boiling water, then strain and cool. Garnish with basil sprigs and whole blueberries and enjoy.

Recipe:

Combine 4 cups water, 1 cup each blueberries and fresh basil, and 5 tablespoons sugar and bring to a boil; stir to dissolve the sugar. Cool for 5 minutes. Add 12 white tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing gently on the solids. Stir in 3 cups cold water. Refrigerate. Serve with ice, blueberries, and basil sprigs.
