Thousand Island Dressing - A Detailed Recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp. tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 tsp mustard powder
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp. sweet relish
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped green olives
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, vegetable oil, tomato sauce, lemon juice, mustard powder, sugar, salt and pepper.
  2. Add the onion, sweet relish, olives, and jalapeño and whisk to combine. Refrigerate the Thousand Island dressing for 1 hour.
    Exit: 2 tbsp.
