Homemade ranch dressing is quick and easy to make and is tastier and healthier than store-bought. The combination of a fermented base and aromatic fresh herbs makes it ideal for salad dressing or as an appetizer with fresh vegetables and crackers for dipping.


Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup sour milk or kefir
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a bowl, combine 2/3 cup sour milk or kefir, 0.5 cup mayonnaise, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 0.5 teaspoon each onion powder and onion flakes, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Add 1 tablespoon each chopped chives, dill, and parsley; add 0.5 teaspoon coarse salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
