Detailed recipe for cooking the dish - Hot sandwiches with bacon and Thousand Island dressing.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 8 thick slices of bacon
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter, plus more as needed
  • 8 slices of white bread
  • 340 g semi-hard sheep's cheese with green onions, or cheese Cheddar, grate coarsely
  • 4 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Fry the bacon over medium heat until crisp, about 8 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Add 1 tbsp (15 g) butter to the same pan. Place two slices white breadSprinkle each slice with one-quarter of the cheese and top with two slices of bacon. Spread the other two slices with thousand island dressing and top with the bacon.

    Grill the sandwiches until the cheese is melted, 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Grill the remaining sandwiches, adding more butter as you cook.
