Chocolate fondant is a French dessert shaped like a small cake with a moist filling. It has a rich flavor and incredible aroma. It doesn't take much time to make. This dessert is sure to delight and energize you.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of cocoa
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 110 g melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Serve with sweet whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 160⁰C.
  2. Beat the eggs until foamy. Add the sugar and beat until completely dissolved. Add the cocoa, flour, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gently mix until smooth.

  3. Pour the batter into 4 large molds. Place them in a larger baking dish half filled with boiling water.
  4. Bake for 40-50 minutes until the crust is crisp and the dough is partially set. If you're unsure whether the dessert is done after removing it from the oven, return it to the oven for another 10 minutes.

    Serve with sweet whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
