Wonton Wheat Chips - A Detailed Recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 4 tsp dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tsp seasoning Five Spices
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • 20 sheets wonton dough (available at Asian specialty food stores)
  • Vegetable oil

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a bowl, combine sugar, salt, five-spice powder, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Brush both sides of each sheet of dough with vegetable oil and sprinkle with the spice mixture. Cut diagonally in half and place on two greased baking sheets.
  2. Roast the wheat chips in a preheated oven at 190°C for 10 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool completely.
