Make a big batch of these delicious taro chips for a crunchy snack. Use a mandoline to slice them so they're evenly thin. Taro chips are incredibly easy to make and bake in the oven. A healthy alternative to store-bought potato chips!


Ingredients:

  • 2 taro roots
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Peel 2 medium taro roots and slice them into 0.3 cm thick rounds using a mandoline. The rounds should be thin but firm. Place them in a single layer on 2 foil-lined baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) until the chips are golden brown and crispy, 15-25 minutes. Season with salt. Let cool.
