An unsightly canned pork butt can be turned into a wonderful appetizer—a light, creamy, and meaty dip—and served as a pâté with taro chips for scooping. In this case, pork can be healthy, and pork is also part of the Mediterranean diet. The dip is prepared in minutes in a blender, and for a more impressive appetizer, top the chips with watermelon slices sprinkled with lime zest.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.

1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
