  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips plus 1/4 cup for topping
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup superfine sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/3 cup plus 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa, sugar, and 3/4 cup chocolate chips. Pour the wet ingredients into a measuring cup. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together, remembering that the best muffins come from a lumpy batter.
