Kale chips with lemon

A savory kale snack seasoned with hot red pepper and freshly squeezed lemon juice makes a great healthy snack, as kale is rich in nutrients. These chips can be baked in the oven.

Ingredients:

  • 2 bunches fresh kale, stems removed, torn into small pieces
  • Olive oil
  • Flaked sea salt
  • 1 lemon
  • Red pepper flakes
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 170°C.
  • Step 2
  • Place the cabbage in a large bowl and drizzle lightly with olive oil, just enough to coat the leaves. Season with salt. Arrange the leaves on two baking sheets in a single layer, making sure they don't overlap too much.
  • Step 3
  • Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes, until crisp but still green. Remove the kale chips from the oven, drizzle with freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
