Pizza sauce

You can use any toppings and cheeses you like when making homemade pizza, but its flavor will depend largely on the sauce. A pizza that's usually delicious will be absolutely fantastic with this sauce. It's made with canned tomatoes (make sure there are no added spices) with sautéed onions, garlic, dried oregano, and fresh basil, which imbues the sauce with a wonderful summer aroma. Besides pizza, this sauce can be served with pasta or any other dish that calls for tomato sauce.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 - 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 3 cans of 425g canned crushed tomatoes
- A pinch of sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 8 - 10 fresh basil leaves, chopped

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Heat about 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and finely chopped onion and stir.
- Cook until the onion is soft, 4-5 minutes. Add the chicken broth, stirring to deglaze the bottom of the pan. Cook until the liquid has reduced by half.
- Add the pureed tomatoes and stir. Season with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of sugar. Add the dried oregano and basil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Use this sauce for pizza.
