Caramel popcorn baked with cookie pieces and nuts

Instead of regular popcorn, make an incredibly delicious sweet snack that will delight both kids and adults. This is a mixture of popcorn, Girl Scout cookies, salted peanuts, and peanut butter granules. Everything is covered in a caramel mixture and baked. This snack combines sweet and salty notes and is sure to please any fan of unusual snacks.

In a large bowl, combine 12 cups of unsalted popcorn and 15 chopped cookies, adding 1/2 cup each salted peanuts and peanut butter granules. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup light brown sugar and 1/4 cup corn syrup and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Gradually whisk in 4 ounces chopped butter until melted. Turn off the heat and whisk in 1/2 teaspoon each baking powder and coarse salt. Pour the mixture over the popcorn and toss to coat. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350°F (175°C), stirring halfway through, until crisp, 15 to 20 minutes. Season with salt and let cool.
