Popcorn with spices


How to Make Spiced Popcorn

This is a super quick, ridiculously easy party treat, and, best of all, it's quite budget-friendly. It has a vibrant flavor and aroma that promises a sweet treat to every passing child. I think it's very popular, so I always make a generous batch.

Calories 239, total fat 14 G., proteins 4 G., carbohydrates 26 G.


Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. l. wok oils
  • 1 cup popcorn kernels (not yet popped)
  • 55 g butter
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground paprika
  • 4 teaspoons table salt
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Pour wok oil into the largest pot with a lid you have and set it over high heat. Add the popcorn and quickly cover with a lid. Let the kernels pop, shaking the pot occasionally to stir.

    You will hear the corn popping, but don't rush to look inside unless you want to get poked in the eye, and when the popping stops (after about a couple of minutes), remove the pan from the heat.
  • Step 2
  • In another saucepan, melt the butter with the spices, then pour this mixture over the popcorn and place everything in a large paper bag. Shake again and again to mix the popcorn, making sure it's well coated with the flavorful butter. Makes 12 cups.

    Divide into several bowls and serve at a party.
