This sweet and salty popcorn is the perfect addition to any children's birthday celebration. This festive popcorn can be made ahead of time and stored in a tightly sealed container.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1.5 cups popcorn kernels
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 280 g white chocolate, chopped

  • 1 tbsp natural vanilla extract
  • 3/4 tsp fine salt
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cups of multi-colored sprinkles

Recipes with similar ingredients: popcorn, white chocolate, powdered sugar

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Place the popcorn kernels and oil in a large, wide saucepan, stir to coat, cover, and heat over medium heat. As soon as you hear popping sounds, shake the pan and cook until the popping subsides, about 8 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the popcorn to a large bowl.
  2. In a large saucepan, bring a couple of centimeters of water to a boil. Place a tightly fitting bowl on top of the saucepan (it shouldn't touch the water). Add the chocolate, butter, vanilla extract, and salt and heat, stirring occasionally, until all the chocolate and butter have melted. Fat from the chocolate and butter will separate, which is normal. Remove the bowl from the saucepan and vigorously stir in the powdered sugar. The mixture should be thick and creamy.

  3. Pour the chocolate glaze over the popcorn, add sprinkles, and then toss the popcorn with your hands to coat it evenly with white chocolate. Place the popcorn on a baking sheet to let the glaze set, about 30 minutes. You can also leave the popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature overnight.
