Pizza-flavored popcorn without artificial flavors or additives—it's possible! Make a special spice mix to add to hot popcorn to infuse it with the amazing pizza flavor. The mix includes finely grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, garlic salt, red pepper, and dried tomato paste. You can make popcorn with your kids or make popcorn kits as gifts: wrap 2 tablespoons of the spice mix in cheesecloth bags, then place them in jars with 1/2 cup of popcorn corn and attach a pizza-flavored popcorn recipe to each jar.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Position the oven rack in the middle position and preheat to 95°C (205°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray generously with cooking spray. Spread the tomato paste in a thin layer on the parchment paper (a spatula works best for this).
- Bake until the paste is brick-red and dull, with no shiny spots, about 2 hours. The tomato paste will resemble fruit marshmallows. Let cool. Tear the paste into small pieces and grind in batches in a spice grinder.
- Add all the ground tomato paste back to the spice grinder along with the Parmesan, oregano, garlic salt and pepper and grind until a fine powder is formed. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days. The spice mix makes enough for 6 batches of popcorn..
- To make one serving of pizza-flavored popcorn, heat 1/2 tbsp olive oil or other vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add 1/2 cup popcorn; when one kernel pops, cover the pan with a lid and cook, shaking the pan constantly, until the popping rate slows to one pop every 20 seconds. Add a little melted butter and 2 tablespoons pizza spice mix and stir.
