If you love Asian fried rice, try cooking quinoa using the same technique to add variety and health to your diet. Cooked quinoa is pan-fried with vegetables, garlic, ginger, dark sesame oil, and mirin (rice wine), giving it a distinctive Asian flavor. Be sure to rinse the quinoa thoroughly before cooking to prevent it from becoming bitter. It takes just 20 minutes to cook and is delicious. Serve as a side dish with roasted meat and poultry.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Combine 1 1/2 cups water, 3/4 cup rinsed quinoa, and 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt in a saucepan; cover, bring to a boil, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a skillet with vegetable oil, sauté 1 chopped broccoli stalk and 4 sliced ​​bell peppers until softened, 3 minutes. Add 2 sliced ​​green onions and 1 tablespoon each chopped garlic and ginger; sauté for 1 minute. Add quinoa, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon each dark sesame oil and mirin. Stir to combine.
