Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch asparagus, cut into three pieces
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 small ginger root, 2.5 - 3 cm in size, cut into strips
  • 3 cups shiitake mushroom caps, quartered
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced
  • 1/3 cup boiled water
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) butter
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a large skillet, sauté the ginger pieces in sesame oil for 1 minute. Add the shiitake mushrooms and garlic and sauté, stirring, for 2 minutes.

    Add asparagus and water, bring to a boil; cover and continue cooking until tender, 3 minutes.

    Add soy sauce and butter, cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.
