Asian-style chicken burgers are made with a chicken patty and fresh vegetables in a savory sauce. Mix the ground chicken with an Asian-inspired sauce blend, panko breadcrumbs, and ginger, form into patties, and bake them in the oven. The patties are incredibly juicy and savory. Serve them on buns topped with a salad of fresh red onions and raw mushrooms in an Asian sauce. A unique take on the homemade chicken burger that you won't find at any popular restaurant.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (190°C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, grate the carrots and 1/2 onion on a coarse grater. Add the ground chicken, panko, 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce, ginger, 3 teaspoons soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon sambal oelek and mix well. Form the ground chicken into 4 patties and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until tender, about 20 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, thinly slice the remaining 1/2 onion. Combine in a bowl with the mushrooms, sesame oil, lime juice, and the remaining 1 teaspoon of soy sauce. In another bowl, combine the remaining 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce and 2 teaspoons of sambal oelek with 1 tablespoon of water.
  4. Warm the buns in the oven. Serve the patties on the buns with a drizzle of hoisin-sambal sauce and the mushroom mixture.
