An easy recipe for a delicious Asian-style pork appetizer with rice noodles. You'll need ready-made bone-in pork loin cutlets. Leftovers from last night's dinner, for example, are a great idea. Cut the meat into strips and quickly fry to warm through the Asian sauce. Serve with thick lettuce leaves. Layer the meat, some rice noodles, and top with crunchy peanuts and herbs, like bowls. Serve as an appetizer or as a full-fledged light dinner. These bowls offer a balanced combination of meat, side dishes, and vegetables.


Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp. l. rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic, grated
  • 1 pack of 400g rice noodles
  • 2 tbsp. l. rapeseed oil
  • 0.9 kg ready-made natural pork cutlets, cut into strips
  • 1 head Bibb lettuce, leaves separated
  • To serve: chopped peanuts, mint leaves, cilantro leaves, bean sprouts and Sriracha sauce
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce with vinegar, ginger and garlic.
  • Step 2
  • Soak the rice noodles in hot water until soft, according to package directions. Cut into smaller noodles for serving.
  • Step 3
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the pork strips and quickly fry until heated through. Add the hoisin sauce mixture and stir. Remove from heat.
  • Step 4
  • Serve the pork in Bibb lettuce bowls, topped with chopped peanuts, mint, cilantro, bean sprouts, and Sriracha sauce. Serve with rice noodles.
