A quick and easy dish with an Asian twist. Chicken or thyme would be a good substitute for beef. turkeyYou can also feel free to experiment with other ingredients. For example, grated carrots in the filling will add color and vegetable flavor. You can also vary the amount of onion, ginger, and garlic to suit your taste. If using beef, it's a good idea to let the excess fat drain from the ground beef. This dish is perfect for a light dinner or snack.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 450 g of ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil
  • A 5 cm piece of ginger, peeled and finely grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon crushed dried cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 head Boston lettuce, leaves separated, washed and patted dry

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan over medium-high heat and sauté the beef until browned.
  2. Stir in the ginger, green onion, garlic, soy sauce, crushed dried peppercorns, and hoisin powder and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in the peanuts. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm, wrapped in lettuce leaves.
