Russian cigarettes - Belgian cookies

The only tips I can offer are: make the cigars larger and less sweet (use half the sugar), and fill them with whipped cream and powdered sugar (after letting the cookies cool first). Melted chocolate can be combined with cognac and a tablespoon of water to make it smoother. Finally, you can sprinkle the tip of the Russian cigar with coconut flakes.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 220 C, grease two large baking sheets with oil.
- In a medium bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer, gradually adding the powdered sugar, egg whites and vanilla extract.
- Mix the butter mixture with flour and salt.
- Using a tablespoon, spoon the dough onto the prepared baking sheet into pancakes or ovals, spacing them about 5 cm apart. Each baking sheet should fit 4 cookies. The small number is necessary to roll them quickly once they're done.
- Bake the cookies for about 3 minutes, until golden brown around the edges. Meanwhile, prepare the second batch on a separate baking sheet.
- Using a metal spatula, remove the cookies from the sheet and quickly wrap them around the handle of the same spatula to form a "cigarette." Transfer to a plate to cool. If the cookies are too tight and difficult to shape, return them to the oven for 30 seconds.
- For the topping, melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler, mix well, and let cool slightly.
- Dip each Russian cigarette into the chocolate topping to a depth of 2 cm, place on a plate without touching the chocolate.
