Rachel makes this appetizer Greek-inspired by adding spinach and feta to the ground meat and serving the meatballs with a spicy Greek dipping sauce.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, plus a little extra for the mince
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chopped and crushed
  • 2 packages (400 g each) frozen chopped spinach (defrosted)
  • 3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 450 g of minced chicken
  • 1 tbsp. grill seasonings
  • 1.5 cups natural Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 peeled and chopped seedless cucumber
  • 3 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1.5 tsp, 1/2 pinch cumin
  • 1.5 tsp, 1/2 pinch coriander
  • Salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, combine the onion and 3 cloves of garlic. Squeeze the spinach thoroughly to remove excess liquid. Mash the spinach and add it to the garlic and onion. Add the feta, ground meat, and grill spices to the bowl and drizzle generously with olive oil. Mix the meat with the vegetables and feta and form into 18 (4 cm) balls. Place the balls on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and the juices run clear.

  3. Add yogurt, garlic, cucumber, dill, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, and a pinch of salt to a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl. Serve. chicken balls, stick toothpicks into them, and place the sauce next to them.
