This iconic tropical cocktail is pleasantly refreshing on a hot summer day, and its fruity flavor evokes the feeling of a vacation on a distant island. This version of the Hurricane cocktail includes a few additional ingredients—pineapple juice and grenadine—that add a richer, more complex flavor.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.

  • 60 ml dark rum
  • 60 ml. passion fruit juice
  • 60 ml. pineapple juice
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 1 tbsp. l. grenadine
  • 1 orange, sliced, for garnish
