The New Frozen cocktail is a cross between a frozen cocktail and a sorbet. Frozen (English: frozen + rosé – frozen pink wine) Perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day, this cocktail also makes a wonderful alcoholic dessert. Mix rosé wine with strawberries and lemon juice and freeze in an ice cream maker. The flavor of this cocktail is deeper and richer because you don't add ice.


Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) of chilled rose wine
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved, plus more for garnish
  • 0.5 cups of ultrafine sugar
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice (from about 3 lemons)
  • Special equipment: ice cream maker
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place the wine, lemon juice, sugar, and strawberries in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into an ice cream maker and churn on the coldest setting until thickened, 45 to 60 minutes.

    Note

    Freezing time depends on the ice cream maker model.
