If you're serving cocktails to a large group, it's best to make a punch large enough for everyone, eliminating the need to mix individual portions for each guest. The Hurricane is a New Orleans classic that many people love from the first sip. Don't forget to add almond extract; it ties all the flavors together and gives the drink its signature nutty note.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 x 1L cartons of passion fruit juice (about 8 cups)
  • 1 can (1.3 l) of pineapple juice
  • 3 cups light rum
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 cups dark rum
  • 1 tbsp grenadine
  • 0.5 tsp almond extract
