The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 tablespoons coriander seeds
  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard seeds
  • 2 teaspoons white peppercorns
  • 6 carnation buds
  • 2 tablespoons turmeric
  • 2 tsp ground red pepper

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place all ingredients except turmeric and ground red pepper in a skillet over medium heat. Toast the spices until darkened, about 12 minutes. Remove and let cool.

    Place the toasted ingredients in a spice grinder and grind until powdered. Add the turmeric and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
