Baked Pears with Curry Powder - A Detailed Recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks, 3 cm each.
  • 6 small apricot halves, peeled and pitted
  • 2 pears (peaches or any other fruit), cored, peeled and quartered
  • 110 g butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. curry powder
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 20 maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

    Combine butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon curry powder, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  2. Place all the fruit in a baking dish and toss with the remaining ingredients. Spray the fruit with the oil mixture and bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, constantly adding the oil mixture.
