Meatloaf is a fairly simple and quick-to-make dish made with ground beef. It's very filling, juicy, and tender. If you love patties but don't want to bother with cooking them, this delicious dish is perfect for you. This American meatloaf is made with ground beef. It's part meat casserole and part large patty shaped like a loaf of bread, yet somehow holds its shape and tastes better than any patty. It's a great substitute for traditional patties, and it's healthier, too, since it's baked in the oven. You can even put it on bread and make a sandwich with leftovers from a holiday dinner. You can add any toppings you want to the ground beef; you'll love grinding it with your own blend of spices.

Recipes with similar ingredients: ground beef, breadcrumbs, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme
Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 160°C.
- Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan. Add the onion, thyme, salt, and pepper and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes, until the onion is translucent but not browned. Turn off the heat, add the Worcestershire sauce, chicken broth, and tomato paste. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, onion mixture, bread crumbs, and eggs and lightly mix with a fork. Don't overmix, or the meatloaf will be too dense. Form the mixture into a rectangle on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread the ketchup evenly over the top.
- Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) and the meatloaf is cooked through (a pan of hot water in the oven under the meatloaf will prevent the top from cracking). Serve hot.
