Recipes with similar ingredients: milk, white bread, ground beef, Parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, bacon, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard powder, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce
Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Prepare the meatloaf: Preheat oven to 180⁰С.
- Pour milk over the bread and let it soak for a few minutes. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread and milk, Parmesan, salt, a little pepper, seasoned salt, and parsley. Add the eggs. Using clean hands, mix the ingredients thoroughly.
- Place the resulting mixture in the shape of a loaf on a foil-lined baking sheet with a rack to allow excess fat to drain from the meat.
- Place slices of bacon on top and tuck them under the meatloaf to help it hold its shape.
- Prepare tomato sauce: Pour the ketchup into a bowl. Add the brown sugar and dry mustard, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly until smooth. Pour 1/3 of the sauce over the meatloaf.
- Bake the meatloaf for 45 minutes, then pour over another 1/3 of the remaining tomato sauce. Bake for another 20-25 minutes until cooked through; the meatloaf should no longer be pink in the center. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with remaining tomato sauce.
