Meatloaf is a versatile dish adored by cooks around the world. It can be served as a main course, an appetizer, a sliced dish, or a substitute for sausages and cutlets, all while being incredibly easy to prepare and requiring only a few ingredients. But even for those who enjoy experimenting, this seemingly simple dish offers plenty of scope for experimentation. You can use any meat—beef, pork, chicken, or turkey, as in this version—and stuff the "loaf" with any desired filling, mushrooms, cheese, bacon, or egg… Complete freedom of creation with excellent results!
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 450 g lean ground turkey
- Olive oil for greasing the baking sheet
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp hot mustard
- 1/4 cup whole grain breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup skim milk
- 60 g Swiss cheese
- 3 strips turkey bacon, coarsely chopped
- 3 slices whole grain bread, torn into pieces
- 1 large egg white
- 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 250 g mushrooms, coarsely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 small zucchini, coarsely grated

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 190°C. Lightly grease a 23cm x 13cm baking dish with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix together ketchup with mustard. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, cheese, turkey bacon, bread, and egg white.
- Heat vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms, onion, garlic, and salt and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are very soft. Add the zucchini and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Gently mix the vegetables and ground meat until smooth, then stir in most of the ketchup and mustard. Form the meatloaf into a loaf shape and spread the remaining ketchup and mustard over it.
- Bake until a thermometer registers an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C), about 30-40 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes, then cut into 8 slices.
