There are definitely some things in this world that go together better than others. Any combination of bread, cheese, and bacon is equally wonderful. And you know what goes well with bacon and cheese? Beer. It's quite possible that combining these four ingredients will result in a wonderful baked good.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • Flour - 3 cups
  • Granulated sugar – 3 tbsp. (35 g)
  • Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cheddar cheese (grated) - a glass
  • Beer - 1 bottle
  • Butter (melted) - 4 tablespoons
  • Chopped bacon - 2 tablespoons

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees C, line a 20 x 10 cm baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the bacon and cheese, pour in the beer, and stir with a wooden spoon until smooth.

  3. Pour some of the melted butter into the prepared pan, place the dough there, and sprinkle more butter on top.
  4. Bake until done, about 50-60 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool before cutting into slices.

    At room temperature, beer bread can be stored wrapped in plastic wrap for up to 3 days.
