Grilled Bacon and Cheese Sandwich - A Step-by-Step Recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 block of 12 pull-apart buns
  • 10 slices of bacon
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 6 tbsp (90 g) butter, melted
  • 1/2 tomato, finely chopped
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 3 slices of Munster cheese

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook, turning occasionally, until browned, about 10 minutes. Transfer it to a paper towel to drain any excess fat, then cut into small pieces.
  2. Split each sandwich bun horizontally. Place the top and bottom bun halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Brush each bun with oil, reserving 1 tablespoon, and toast until cooked through, 1 to 3 minutes. Remove the top bun halves. Flip the bottom bun halves over and continue toasting for another minute. Remove from the oven and preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

  3. Turn the bottom halves of the buns cut-side up and sprinkle with bacon. Top with sliced ​​tomato, then alternate layers of provolone and Muenster cheese. Top with the top halves of the buns, then brush the sandwiches with melted butter. Bake until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, 12 to 15 minutes.
