Potato ball casserole with cheese and bacon - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 450 g (about 3 cups) frozen potato balls
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 tbsp. grated cheddar cheese (about 115 g)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • Freshly sliced chives for decoration
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Prepare the potato balls according to package directions. Reduce the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F) and lightly spray a 22cm (9.5in) baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the bacon in a small skillet over medium heat, turning once, until crisp, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate, then slice.

  3. Place the potato balls in the prepared pan, pressing lightly. Top with cheese and bacon. Bake for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

    Meanwhile, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, and Sriracha sauce. Drizzle the casserole with the spicy mayonnaise and sprinkle with chives.
