While on a picnic, treat yourself to a dessert of charcoal-baked fruit. Place crushed cookies and sliced fruit in foil, sprinkle with sugar, drizzle with lime, wrap, and toast. You'll have a fragrant, moist dessert reminiscent of a lazy fruit pie. Firm, stone fruits are best. Apricots, plums, peaches, and nectarines are all good choices; baking in foil will make them juicier, softer, and coated in a syrupy glaze. This dessert is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Light a charcoal grill or prepare a smoldering fire pit. Cut 8 sheets of foil (45 x 45 cm). Fold two squares together to make 4 sturdy sheets of foil. Sprinkle crumbled cookies evenly on each sheet, scatter fruit on top, and randomly insert pats of butter.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, salt, and lime zest. Sprinkle the mixture over the fruit, drizzle with the juice and brandy, and cover with foil. When the coals are covered with ash, place the bundles in them and cover the grill with a lid. If grilling over a campfire, partially bury the bundles in the hot coals. Bake for 10 minutes.

  3. Remove the packages and unwrap them carefully to avoid burning yourself with steam. Serve the fruit on a plate as a standalone dessert or with a dollop of sour cream or a scoop of ice cream.
