Tilapia with vegetables in foil in the oven

How to cook - Tilapia with vegetables in foil in the oven
Menu:Dinner,
Time: 30 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 2

Tilapia meat is so tender that it's sometimes called the "chicken of the sea." It's perfect for a diet or a light dinner for those looking for a healthy meal, as it's high in protein and low in fat. To preserve all the tilapia's properties, it's recommended to bake it in a foil packet. This method also allows the fish to retain its juices and absorb the flavors of the vegetables baked alongside it. Serve tilapia with vegetables or a side of fragrant rice.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place each piece of fish on a separate piece of foil. The foil should be a few centimeters longer than the fillets. Drizzle the fish with olive oil.

In a small bowl, combine the garlic, tomatoes, shallots, thyme, and a little salt and pepper. Spoon the mixture over each piece of fish.
  • Step 2
  • Preheat oven to 230°C.

Wrap the fillets and seal the edges with foil. Place the wraps on a baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes. When the fish is done, unwrap it, top it with your favorite sauce, and serve.
