This original and simple tomato salad recipe will be a lifesaver during the busy tomato season, when you're looking for a new way to experience tomatoes. Its amazing flavor comes not only from the sweet, ripe tomatoes, but also from the unique marinade. Combine olive oil, brown sugar, and balsamic vinegar, which shares a rich and sophisticated flavor with the other ingredients, livening up any dish. 1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.

- 6 - 8 ripe tomatoes
- 4 green onions
- 1 cup olive oil
- 3-4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp. l. brown sugar
- A handful of fresh parsley leaves, lightly chopped
- 12 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Quarter the tomatoes, then cut each wedge in half and place in a bowl. Trim the green tops from the onions and thinly slice the white and light green parts. Add them to the tomatoes.
Pour olive oil, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and a little salt and pepper into a jar. Screw on the lid and shake well. Pour the dressing over the tomatoes and toss to combine. - Add the herbs and toss gently. Cover the salad and refrigerate to marinate for a couple of hours, then serve.
